Privacy and opt-out
If we've written to you, this explains where we found your details, what we do with them, and how to tell us to stop. You can opt out at the bottom of this page in under a minute.
Who we are
Blue Puffin Group Ltd (company no. 14453109), registered office Norcote Farmhouse, Cirencester, Gloucestershire GL7 5RH. We decide how your details are used, which makes us the "controller" under UK data protection law. Contact: acquisitions@bluepuffingroup.co.uk.
Where we found your details
From public sources only: the Companies House register (company names, directors and registered addresses), and the business's own website or other public business listings (for a business email address).
What we use them for
To get in touch, once or a few times, to ask whether you might consider selling your business or property to us, and to reply if you answer. We rely on our "legitimate interests" in contacting business owners about a possible purchase. We do not sell or share your details with anyone for marketing.
Who else handles them
The tools we use to send and store email and letters (for example Google Workspace and our email-sending service), under contracts that only let them act on our instructions.
How long we keep them
If you don't reply, we delete your details within 12 months of our last message. If you opt out, we keep only your email address or company name on a "do not contact" list, so that we never write to you again.
Your rights
- Object to us contacting you, at any time (use the form below or just reply "no").
- Ask to see the details we hold, have them corrected, or have them deleted.
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Opt out
Tell us which email address or business to remove, and we won't contact you again.
